Over nine months of 2005 the overall sales of the AVK products reached UAH 643.9 million. Between January and September, the sales grew by 13 percent in monetary terms as compared to the same period of the last year.

According to acting General Director of the AVK Andriy Dykunov, the sales growth is attributable mainly to the growth in sales of the strategically important products of the company – complex value added confectionaries of the premium and medium price segments. The sales growth in these segments meets the business strategies of the Company and the most recent market trends.

“Due to the price fluctuations on the sugar and other food products, we experienced the decrease in the demand for traditional low-priced confectionaries, such as sugar candy. In parallel, the consumption of highly quality expensive confectionery has grown and we were ready to offer the consumers new up-to-date products and saturate the growing demand”, says Andriy Dykunov.

Over the nine months, AVK increased the sales of the chocolate by 43 percent, chocolate confectionery by 25 percent and biscuits by 29 percent. Simultaneously, the sales of sugar candy demonstrated a 27 % downward trend.

By expanding the spectrum of products in the premium and medium price segments, AVK substantially fostered its operations on the market of the packed products in all product categories. In September only, the Company introduced a series of new brands on the market: sweet extrusion snacks “Bam-Boo” and “Bam-Booshiki”, chocolate confectionaries “ChocoLove” and “ChocoLove Coctail”.
