The high quality of AVK products is confirmed by the international IFS standard

4 September 2017

The AVK confectionery company has implemented a food safety management system in accordance with IFS Food (Version 6) requirements, which confirms its uncompromising confidence in the quality and safety of its products.

IFS Food (International Food Standard) is an international standard that applies to all stages of production and processing of food products. It is acknowledged by the world’s largest wholesale and retail trade networks, with a turnover of 60% of the global trade, and in particular, by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

“IFS certification is a kind of a no-visa regime for products under the AVK brand. New opportunities for selling sweets through European networks have opened up before us. This is, undoubtedly, an important achievement for the whole team and a huge work of the factory team. Obtaining an IFS certificate is another proof that AVK produces safe and, most importantly, quality products. This is an affirmation of the Company’s international status as a manufacturer of quality Ukrainian products,” says Volodymyr AVRAMENKO, the Company’s founder.

The IFS standard, adhered to by retailers from Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Spain, Poland, Ukraine, and other countries, requires an integrated approach to food production engineering, hygiene, manufacturing procedure implementation, staff competence, etc.

For many years, the AVK production has successfully undergone the affirmation procedures for the international quality management system certificates ISO 9000 and ISO 22000. The IFS is a new stage in the development of the Company.
